Your favourite trilogy films?

Postby Mastakilla » Sun Jul 03, 11 5:42 am

I think there's been enough favourite film topics on almost every forum, so I guess I'll go a slightly different way.

What is your favourite trilogy?
Lord of the Rings shout should be banned! (jokes, I just personally hate it)

My absolute favourite must be the Rush Hour trilogy.
The Godfather obviously should get a mention too.
I guess my 3rd favourite would be Blade, because it totally kicked ass when I watched them as a 14 year old.

I liked The Matrix but I haven't actually watched the 3rd one, and neither do I feel like doing so. So can't really say it's a favourite.

well, there's an original trilogy (which has its own sequence of events), the same can be said of Alien and Star Wars...

well i always assumed keira knightly's and orlando bloom's characters were pivotal to the events in 1-3

star wars episode 1-3, there's a reason why people see the original 4-6 episode as the only movies

1-3 is the life of ripley, she dies in 3, she is a clone in 4 and a different person.

(the movies after the original trilogies are all pure cash tie ins and are easily discarded)

mind you, so is Matrix 2 and 3, they are horrible movies.

That's why I said that they're my favorite trilogy as far as action sci-fi goes :P

Story was interesting, but how they progressed with it was very confusing and scattered.

The whole ambiance was very cool.

Aliens because I felt the most attached to the characters. It also had a feel of Terminator 2 to it (probably because it was the same director), which I loved.

However, I liked Alien purely because it had more of a chill factor. The slow and subtle building of atmosphere was excellent. The line "you have my sympathies" is so damn dark, it's beautiful.

Alien 3 didn't do much for me, too much grit and
KILLING THE GODDAMN CHARACTERS FROM THE SECOND ONE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I would say Twilight in 1st place. Well, the film isn't better than the book, but I love both.

I liked Matrix & Scream, too. But not as much as Twilight ^^

Lol, Tantalus... is it a joke? If not I will explain quickly why it won't interest me.

Unreal (That is the original game) is a solo/multiplayer game... But cause of lack of time, Epic Games did just a good campaign and couldn't focus multiplayer... so MP was sucky.

Then, they started to make a Multiplayer add-on for Unreal.. But since the Add-on was too different graphically, technically... they simply choose to make a Stand-alone called Unreal Tournament.

So, There is no story in Unreal Tournament (Or maybe one, but made it quickly, just to explain why we fight in arena..), so I don't find any interest in a film with no story.
