Recommendations for DeusEx.ini

Postby Professor Layton » Sat Apr 21, 07 1:44 pm

With a bit of help from Daedalus, I've made an article regarding things you should look into, regarding your DeusEx.ini. The article is about things you can change in your deusex.ini, mostly to get better overall performance in-game, well worth a look, especially if you're struggling to get good fps in-game. Article can be found here

No problem really, I like to share stuff I know especially regarding these issues, as I know how annoying it can be to have a DX with really poor performance.

Anyways, I've explained more options of the DeusEx.ini

Im happy that on most basic laptop chipsets from 2007 - 2008, its possible to play DeusEx at 1024 - 768 with 50 - 60FPS. I tested this on a crappy ACER laptop from 2006 running the Integrated X200 ATI graphics.

Make sure for multi-core users, to change processor affinity to limit one core to be used in DeusEx. Its not a multicore game and forcing programs to run on two cores written for one produces a lot of garbage and slows the game down considerably.
